Do you want to learn the basics, so you can actually start to play the songs you like? *There are NO live meetings for this class. The material will be posted weekly and you can view it during the week at your convenience.* In this six session course, beginners will learn the violin fundamentals to play with confidence. They will learn how to hold the violin and bow, how to pluck the violin...
In this six-week course, beginners will learn the violin fundamentals to start playing the violin strong and confidently. They will learn how to hold the violin and bow, how to pluck, how to play the violin with the bow, how to use their fingers to produce notes (fingerings) and how to play fun and easy songs, like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Hot Cross Buns! We will also cover over how the violin is tuned, how to take care of the violin, and some basic music theory - like note names and rhythms.
