Private lessons for violin, fiddle, or viola mastery, tailored just for you! Get started on your musical journey with violin, fiddle, or viola. Take a closer look at good posture, bow grip, and tone. In our classes, we practice strings techniques through fun games and learning exercises. Learners will add to their repertoire with coaching to improve their songs. Learn in a lighthearted and supportive environment. Young musicians will experience demonstrations, feedback, and encouragement. Learn from friendly and encouraging teachers who are also expert violinists, fiddlers, and violists. Their experience and upbeat enthusiasm will help you improve on your musical goals and create beautiful music with your instrument. We will focus on playing technique, posture, ear training and listening, and building repertoire. Private lessons are learner-driven and each week's topic and focus is set based on learner needs and interest. Get ready to meet your musical goals for success! Posture skills include: 🎻 Bow grip 🎻 Wrist movements 🎻 Playing in the correct location on the strings 🎻 Holding the instrument correctly on the shoulder 🎻 Correct finger position on the fingerboard 🎻 Playing with Ease and comfort - reducing tension Technique skills include: 🎻 Pizzicato-plucking the strings 🎻 Legato-long smooth bows 🎻 Staccato and Spicatto - short bow strokes 🎻 Intonation-listening and playing in tune 🎻 Vibrato Our curriculum focuses on developing a joy for music and enjoyment of the instrument. Each lesson is individualized and learner-driven. This means that we work with parents and learners to select music genres and skills that will keep our students interested and help them meet their goals. Violin and bow in good playing condition. Shoulder rest or sponge, rosin, and a tuner or pitch clip are also helpful. Whenever possible, please join the class with your instrument already tuned. The teacher will help with tuning if needed.

Stacey Rae Sinclair is a lifelong musician with the heart of a teacher. She is a certified teacher with a master's degree in education. Over her 15 years of teaching, she has taught private lessons, workshops, and camps. Stacey Rae Sinclair is a successful teacher on Outschool. Since September of 2020, she has been in good standing, with a 5-star rating. She founded Stacey Rae Sinclair Music (SRS Music) to help fill the consistent demand for 1:1 violin lessons, fiddle classes, and more.

Zoe Kushubar is excited to serve as a violin teacher with SRS Music & STEAM. She has studied the violin for 19 years, and has taught since 2017. She is proud of being an enthusiastic and supportive teacher. Zoe fosters flexibility and creativity in her lessons with students. Every student is different, so she adapts her teaching approach to best suit his/her/their needs. Zoe received undergraduate degrees in both Chemistry and Violin Performance from Converse University, and a Master of Music degree from Florida State University this year. Zoe is now working toward her Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Maryland. She has attended music intensives over the years including Aspen Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, Decoda Chamber Music Institute, and National Youth Orchestra 2. Her primary teachers include Lyn Acosta, Jennifer John, Sarah Johnson, Courtney LeBauer, Shannon Thomas, and David Salness. Zoe is the perfect teacher for beginners through advanced violinists.

Alani Sugar began playing the violin at age 9 and discovered bluegrass at 13, solidifying her passion for playing the violin and fiddle.
As an up-and-coming musician, Alani brings a fresh, young perspective to bluegrass and old-time music, constantly pushing the boundaries of these genres.
Alani is also a dedicated violin, fiddle, and mandolin teacher who loves working with students of all ages and skill levels. She has experience teaching private lessons, group classes, and self-paced courses. In her private lessons, she covers repertoire, technique, ear training, music reading (if desired), improvisation, and playing music with others, all tailored to each student’s interests and goals. Students often praise her for being patient, communicative, and adaptable in her teaching methods.
