In Video Games and Gravity we will create a video game using Microsoft's MakeCode Arcade! Students will learn coding fundamentals such as variables, if-statements, loops, and functions all while designing their own platformer video game. Our class is structured so that each student (regardless of experience) will be able to create their own video game from the ground up beginning with the design of their main character. At the conclusion of the course students will have created their own custom multi-level platformer game! They will be comfortable with terms such as importing/exporting, PNG, URL, copy/paste, variables, functions, loops, and the many underlying mechanics of video game design.
