iMovie로 비디오 편집: 과학과 자연 1회 코스

In this one-time course we will build an educational film using a pre-configured packet on one of the following topics: 

-The Universe
-The Ocean 
-Insects
-Volcanoes

I will rotate the topics each week so please see schedule below. 

We will work together to learn more about the week’s topic as we construct a short educational film using iMovie.  Students can use the desktop or the mobile version of iMovie.

We will cover the general features in the editing software as well as some of the lesser known features that work great in educational videos. We will use video clips, images, music, and narration (I will provide) in our project.

-First week of the month: The Universe: In this week we will explore various components of the Universe including: Galaxies, our Solar System, the Sun, its structure, and the forces which impact the planets which revolve around it. 

-Second week of the month: Insects: In this week we will explore class Hexapoda within the phylum Anthropoda. We will discuss exoskeletons, regional migrations, and life stages like metamorphosis.

-Third week of the month: Volcanoes: In this week we will explore the process by which new land is created.  We will discuss the "ring of fire," as well as identify the anatomy of a volcano.

-Fourth week of the month: Ocean: In this week we will cover the vast ocean and discuss the numerous habitats and underwater geological features that play a role in how our planet functions.

Video editing is a great tool for creative expression as well as exploring educational topics and sharing what you learn with others.  Science and nature are excellent sources for inspiring great filmmaking. Students in this course can be beginners.
