🌟Brand new to Outschool? Use code SimonTs20 to save $20 on this class! 🌟 In this 4-week course, students will learn editing techniques on iMovie. Students will learn the following editing techniques on iMovie: -Add video clips & images from the photos apps. -How to trim clips, split clips, and cut clips -Adding transitions -How to slow or speed up clips -How to add audio and change the sound levels of an audio clip -Jump cuts -Exporting a completed movie Week 1: iMovie interface walkthrough and editing our first video by using simple techniques. Week 2: How to edit an activity video. Week 3: Introduction to video overlays. Week 4: Creating your own video by using iMovie storyboards or Magic Movie. My class is structured as a fun and creative environment and I want my students to be involved. When I'm editing a video during class, students will also be editing a video at the exact same time. During the course, students will be able to ask questions and interact with me. All students will eventually present their videos during class that demonstrate their own unique editing skills. No prior editing experience is required. All students are welcome!

The student will be using iMovie on their iOS devices. They will need to download iMovie from Apple's app store. An Apple ID account is required in order to download iMovie from Apple's app store. During the class, I'll be screen sharing my iPad on Zoom. I'll be showcasing the editing techniques in iMovie.

Students will need an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch with iMovie installed. The iPhone/iPod Touch should be using iOS 12 or higher. The iPad should be using iOS 12 or iPadOS 13 or higher. Please be aware that certain features from iMovie might not be available on older devices.

Welcome! My name is Simon Tse and I can't wait to have you in class. The classes that I will be teaching are focused on movie making and video editing. I have a bachelor’s degree from DeVry University. I majored in network and communications management. Before I became a teacher, I was working as a technology mentor to students at a Catholic school. I started teaching computer skills, video editing skills, and audio editing skills to many students. I believe that students will learn when they are challenged and having fun at the same time. I am very patient, and I will always help my students when they are having trouble during
the lessons.
In 2020, I started my own YouTube channel about technology and it has continued to grow with a strong community of viewers.
When I have spare time, I like to do many things. I like to watch movies, read comic books, take an archery class, and play basketball. I also love going to comic book conventions! I’m looking forward to meeting you.리뷰
