수의학 - 수의대 진학 준비

This course will help learners to begin their path to veterinary college. No matter where you are in the world every community needs veterinary professionals. If this is your goal, this course will help you create a plan to achieve that goal. This course is created to be inclusive and to encourage all who aspire to become veterinary professionals. 


This course is a lecture and discussion based course. Learners are encouraged to ask questions. 

Topics by week: 

Week 1. Overview of Veterinary Career Path Options: From private practice, shelter medicine, research and the federal government, veterinarians are needed to keep both animals and people healthy. We will discuss some of these career paths to get your excitement growing. 

Week 2. Giving Yourself the Best Chance of Being Admitted When You Apply: This week we will discuss how to prepare in high school and how to prepare as a college undergraduate. This will include topics such as; grades, prerequisites, majors, experience and more. 

Week 3. More Important Topics: This week we will discuss other considerations such as leadership skills, communication skills, letters of recommendation and standardized tests. 

Week 4. Frequented asked Questions and Funding Your Degree. This week we will review some frequently asked questions including how to fund a veterinary degree. 

Week 5: Veterinary Schools Worldwide: This week we will explore a variety of veterinary colleges around the world. 

Week 6: The Importance of Diversity in Veterinary Medicine and Learner Q & A time: We will discuss how having a diverse and inclusive veterinary industry provides the best possible outcomes for both animals and people. Learners will have the opportunity to ask questions and share any take always from the course.
