수업 경험

The students will learn practical survival skills in not only the wilderness but what to do if something happens in public; in the urban setting.

The more classes your students take with me the better their chances of survival will be, this is a fact. The more knowledge a person has in survival the greater their chances of survival. So by learning with me, the goal will be to have a well rounded understanding on how to stay alive in various urban and wilderness survival emergencies.
I am a U.S. military veteran, former firefighter/first responder, and have been an outdoorsman and survival enthusiast for over 25 years. I have also been in several unfortunate scenarios where I have had to use my survival skills to stay safe and alive, such as experiencing hypothermia, heatstroke, encountering dangerous animals, and sustaining serious injuries.

My training and experience includes:

-U.S. Coast Guard. During my time serving, I participated in many federal law enforcement and search and rescue missions, and was part of a hurricane response team in South Florida.

-I was a Firefighter/First Responder for 10 years.

-I have taught basic first aid, and emergency preparedness to many children, and adults.

-I have had a great deal of training in urban & wilderness survival, survival psychology, critical incident peer support, emergency management, and disaster preparedness.

-I have also been on many wonderful outdoor adventures and had the unique privilege of mentoring under other fellow veterans which include: special operations servicemen, military medics/ corpsman, and combat survival instructors.
A notepad to take notes and a bottle of water to hydrate with me while we learn.

Also, paracord or 550 cord so when we have the knots and gear class, we can practice knot tying. Any rope, twine or even a shoelace will work. You will only need this in 01 class, and its a small portion of that class where we practice knot tying. So if a student forgets rope its usually not a big deal, I have them just grab a shoe lace, or some string and they improvise.
I will be talking about dangerous animals and how to avoid them and what to do if you encounter them. How to start a fire, self defense if they are getting bullied or if they are about to be kidnapped. Also, knife handling, and sharpening, trapping, hunting, skinning, and field dressing an animal. We will discuss first aid. I will not show gory or bloody images, and I am very careful to not be graphic or detailed when discussing any of these sensitive topics.
