Introduction to Nursing
The lesson provides an overview of the nursing profession and reviews the nursing roles and responsibilities of RNs and LPNs.

Career Paths in Nursing
The lesson is about different specialties in nursing (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics, oncology). We will review non-bedside roles in nursing and advanced nursing specialties ( nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and nurse aesthetics).  
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Educational Pathway to Nursing
The lesson will focus on the academic requirements for nursing programs. We will go over an overview of nursing degrees, including the differences between ADN, BSN, DNP, and PhD. Furthermore, we will discuss the variances between diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, and advanced degrees in nursing.

Career Research in Nursing
This lesson provides students with an opportunity to conduct some career exploration and research in nursing.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Preparing for Nursing School
The lesson will focus on the typical prerequisites for nursing school and the educational path to becoming a nurse. We will cover tips for succeeding in prerequisite courses, admissions exams such as TEAS and HESI, GPA point systems, potential waiting lists, and introduce time management.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Nursing School Experience
This lesson provides an overview of life as a nursing student. It covers typical courses one must take while in nursing school, the importance of clinical rotations, and ways to balance school with self-care.
 Week 7
Lesson 7
Nursing Student Success Skills
The lesson introduces students to the skills needed to be successful nursing students (e.g., study skills, time management, and mindset).
 Week 8
Lesson 8
 Nursing Skills and Competencies
The lesson provides an overview of nursing school competencies and skills learned. We will discuss continuing education and lifelong learning in nursing.
