You'll work on improving your cold reading skills, emotional connection with your characters, relationships and scenes, and making bold choices that get you noticed. You'll also learn how to warm up before your audition, stay calm and collected during it, and get and stay in character. No experience is needed, and we cover everything from how to slate for the camera, enter and exit a room, make lasting impressions, to creating backstories and identifying character goals and objectives. Plus, you'll get to act in scenes and monologues! Don't let your acting skills get rusty - this ongoing program is perfect for all levels and a great addition to any of our other acting programs. Students will learn how to do cold readings, how to prepare for auditions, what to wear at auditions, how to prepare an elevator pitch for audition purposes and common interview questions at auditions. Students will also learn as the weeks progress how to make different emotional choices and how that affects their deliverance of the scene. There’s a variety of topics that are covered throughout the weeks. I will always discuss with students what is happening the next week at the end of each session so they can be prepared. This is a great class if students are serious about getting into acting they definitely need audition training, as it’s no different then going for a professional interview. You have one chance at this.
