This class is designed to look at the previously learned relationships of Algebra and Geometry that give rise to the study of Trigonometry. When students see how common ideas are redefined in the study of Trig, they will not feel overwhelmed by the use of new terminology, formulas, and "Trigonometric Identities" that appear in the course. Instead, they will see how all these ideas work together and connect the learner with many different disciplines and their applications In the real world. ...
The learners in this class will be able to work with all geometric plane figures including Triangles (Right and Non- Right) and other Convex Polygons, use Coordinate Geometry and Vector Analysis for Physics, construct Identity Proofs for the six primary Trig Function Relationships, and write spatial constructs in Rectangular and Polar Forms.
I have taught all levels of Mathematics and Sciences for forty years and have determined how to best present material to connect important concepts which are common to all. It is that interconnection that not only reveals the purpose but answers the question students ask most often: "Where will I ever use this?"
