소설 속 줄거리 이해

In this class, we will be going over how to identify the sequence of events or plot of a fictional story. Annotation or note-taking is encouraged so that students actively participate in their reading. Through developing and practicing the understanding of this literary element, students will see improvement in comprehension of fictional texts and films. This comprehension will also aid students in their ability to accurately summarize a text. 

I have a welcoming, respectful learning environment that is a safe space for all students and learners. I like to have discussion based learning while going through the lesson slides. Questions are always encouraged, as I want to best support my students. 

During the lesson, I will go through the different aspects of a plot in Fiction. We will also discuss and build a better understanding of point of view and theme, as they are significant to the sequence of events in a story. We will practice together with a short film, "Alma" by Rodrigo Blaas, and then they will show their work after reading the short story by Mona Gardner, "The Dinner Party".
