In this 30 Lesson semester Music class, beginner ukulele students will build on what they learned in Ukulele 101, including learning more chords and strum patterns.
Class experience
Late beginner and early intermediate ukulele students can to take this 30 lesson course on how to finger-pick and strum their ukulele. Videos will be approximately 20 minutes each. We will be using the Hal Leonard Ukulele Method Book 2, which should be purchased by the students before class begins. Taking Ukulele 101 is a prerequisite for this class. This class is taught in English.
I have 20 years of experience teaching Music in a classroom setting. I have also been teaching live online classes since 2018. I also taught ukulele classes via pre-recorded video lessons March-June 2020 when schools close down due to coronavirus. I am well acquainted with teaching both in person and online.
Homework Offered
It is recommended that students practice 10-15 minutes per day for 3-4 days for a minimum of 40 minutes per week. They can send me audio/video recordings approximately every 4 lessons, for a total of 8 recordings.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Each student will receive personalized written feedback for each each audio/video recording they submit. Written feedback will include things that they excelled at and things they need to practice.Grades Offered
Taking Self-Paced Ukulele 101 is required before enrolling in Ukulele 102.
