Tutus and Jazz Shoes is a wonderful Introduction to both Ballet and Jazz Dance for young learners. Each class will consist of 20 minutes of Ballet and 20 minutes of Jazz. Class will begin with a brief warm up and stretch working up to splits and straddles. Ballet technique will include the five Ballet positions, plies, relieves, tendu, arabesque, coupe, passé and achappe. Basic motor skills such as hopping, skipping and gallops will be addressed. *An open space free of obstacles is necessary for the safety of your dancer. *A leotard and tights is perfect, but not required. Comfortable, stretchy clothing will work as well. *Please pull long hair up. *A water bottle is great too.
