As this is a history course based entirely on primary sources & secondary Historical sources, there may be mention of death, murder, enslavement, kidnapping, abuse, racism, gender, torture, war, disease, religion, and other topics that may be sensitive to some learners. All topics will be taught in an age appropriate manner, in a Historical context. Topics are consistently updated, so parents are urged to save the page to decide what topics are appropriate for their learners. Although this course is formatted to present obscure details about Historical events, historical sources will be provided for students to analyze and determine their own conclusions. Resources used to create context for the stories are listed below and may be periodically updated; therefore parents are urged to save this page and revisit.
Historical corroboration for stories will be provided by reputable historical websites like National Geographic, Britannica Encyclopedia, the Smithsonian, etc. Content support notes & resources to be provided to students as a scaffolding tool will also come from Common Core Standards +State Standards as well as inclusive History Books such as: *THE AMERICAN YAWP A Massively Collaborative Open U.S. History Textbook: https://www.americanyawp.com/ Historical Stories & Primary Source Accounts will come from: -Nextext Historical Readers Additional excerpts of Primary Sources/Primary Source readers (for trivia questions where we touch on primary source analysis skills practice): *For the Record Vol. 1: A Documentary History of America by David E.
