Is your 1st grader excited to be entering 2nd grade? This is the perfect class to get your upcoming 2nd grader ready for 2nd grade. We will review reading strategies to prepare for more complex text. In this highly interactive reading course learners will learn strategies to improve or enhance their foundational reading skills. This course will engage learners by using a large amount of visual anchor charts along with teacher modeling and peer discussion. Digital slides, high frequency word flash cards, and reading passages will be used to meet a variety of learning modalities.  I believe in meeting learners at their current academic level and providing an encouraging learning environment to facilitate meaningful learning.
