수업 소개
In this Class, we will go over ten tips that any student can use to gain more confidence and improve their scores on tests like the SAT, ACT, SHSAT, Regents, APs and other tests they may encounter in their academic careers. We will cover what resources are best to use, how to reduce anxiety around these types of tests and ways to self assess progress. The 10 tips will be each covered in slides, as we discuss each in detail. There will be a handout that lists all ten tips but that will be given to students after the class. During the class, students will be expected and encouraged to take notes. The class will be more of a discussion type class rather than a formal lecture. Students will be encouraged to share their own worries and concerns about tests, in general, with a focus on standardized tests. Students will be reminded that these tips are guidelines to follow, that in conjunction with continued practice, can improve their test scores and test taking progress overall.

My name is Eileen and I am so thrilled to be an Outschool teacher and help students from all over the world!
I enjoy teaching everything from test prep (SAT, ACT, SHSAT, SSAT, etc) to math and sciences (Bio, Chem, Physics, Earth Science). I love helping students and teaching them how to excel in tests and subjects that they thought they couldn't excel in. One of the biggest myths is that math and sciences are too hard or too difficult to grasp. Any student can do well in science and math and Every student who is given the right tools will do well. The concepts in math and science are universal and can be learned if taught with patience and a little bit of fun.
I have been teaching and tutoring for 25 years: First, as a tutor with my fellow students and then as a tutor for students younger than me and finally with students. Now, I continue to work with students through my online tutoring company: Success Online Tutoring (www.successonlinetutoring.com).
One of my favorite hobbies is to run in Obstacle Course Races like Spartan, Tough Mudder, City Challenge, etc. It is so much fun and so much a part of my life that I met my husband at a race and we even got married at the starting line of the NY Spartan Race in 2018.
