Welcome to this Time for German Christmas Special! You do not need to know any German in order to take part in this fun festive-themed lesson. In this one-time class, students will learn 12 items of Christmas related vocabulary such as 'Christmas Tree', 'Gift' and 'Reindeer', which will include more German-themed items such as 'Lebkuchen' and 'Stollen'. The students will learn 12 items of Christmas related vocabulary such as 'Christmas Tree', 'Gift' and 'Reindeer', including more German-themed items such as 'Lebkuchen' and 'Stollen'. Students will also learn and sing/say the first verse of traditional German Christmas song 'O Tannenbaum' (O Christmas Tree).
I am an Award Winning Fully Qualified Elementary/Primary School Teacher and German Specialist and I have 9 years teaching experience. I was a senior teacher up until March 2020, giving staff appraisals and leading school meetings. I was a school lead in co-operative learning for all subjects, employing co-operative learning strategies and techniques to make my lessons more engaging, fun and co-operative.

For the Nearpod quiz near the end of each lesson, the learner should be able to access Nearpod on their web browser. I will send a link and a code for them to enter the quiz 5 minutes before the end of class for the quiz to take place in class.. Learners can either simply click on the link or enter the code onto the Nearpod website. They do not need a Nearpod account for this.
