수업 소개

Welcome to Ms. Abby's 3rd grade class! In this class, we will work together and learn essential 3rd grade skills.

Our class will meet four times a week for 55 minutes each day. We will focus on all curriculum areas, including reading, writing, math, science, geography, and art.

Learners will always need to have paper and something to write with. The supply list will be posted two weeks in advance. Ms. Abby asks that all learners know how to log into Kahoot, as this will be very important each week.

Learners will need the ability to mute themselves when needed. They are also expected to come to class prepared.

Furthermore, it's important to note that a part of this class is dedicated to building friendships and social skills.

The class curriculum is based on the "Magic Tree House" books.

Hello, and welcome to my class! I'm Abby. I have over 30 years experience working with children ages 2-16. For many years, I was the co-owner, director of instruction, and lead teacher for J & A Daycare Center. I also have many years of experience caring for and teaching children through nannying and private home daycare, including children on the autism spectrum. (I have such a heart for children with special needs!) For the past five years, it has been my joy to homeschool my 20-year-old daughter. It is exciting to see her thriving and enjoying learning!

My teaching style is warm, creative, and fun. I am passionate about teaching young children! I love to encourage children and make sure they feel welcome. My goal for my classes is for every child to walk away smiling and feeling like they had a good time!

My husband, daughter and I make our home in Athens, GA. I enjoy wood painting, coloring, cooking, and crafts. I am so excited to meet and teach your child!
