The purpose of this class is to look at the science, variants, historic War usage, and the diversity of these five unique military jet fighters. These jets were also known as the “Century Series” based on their names. These fighters were important aspect of the changing air power during the early Cold War effort. They were vital to countering the Soviet era fighter aircraft.   

Day 1: F 100 Super Sabre the First Supersonic Fighter Jet
Day 2: F 101 Voodoo Nuclear Armed Fighter Bomber
Day 3: F 102 Delta Dagger Interceptor Aircraft
Day 4: F 104 Starfighter the Supersonic Sharp Winged Fighter-Bomber
Day 5: F 105 Thunderchief the Supersonic Fighter-Bomber Designed for Nuke Strike

There will be an attached note taking document with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information in this course. There are also informational videos about the aircraft built into each class. The desire of the teacher is to engage the students with questions and dialogue to help them further learn the material and answer questions. There will be no assigned home work in this class and the teaching style will be lecture via power point material with a few questions asked of the student.
