This class is structured to provide a comprehensive exploration of "The Hobbit" over nine weeks. Each week, we will focus on a specific chapter, covering various topics such as character development, thematic analysis, and the use of symbolism and poetry. The lessons are designed to be interactive, with a mix of lectures, discussions, and activities to engage learners.

How is your class structured?
The class is divided into nine weekly lessons, each focusing on two specific chapters of "The Hobbit." Each lesson includes a combination of lecture, discussion, and activities to reinforce the material. The course could be completed within nine weeks if the student reads two chapters a week and completes the assignments. A student could choose to do more than two chapters a week and get it all done much faster.

How will you teach?
The teaching style will be a blend of lectures, group discussions, and individual activities. Each lesson will include with a brief lecture on the chapter and its themes, combined with a discussion and activities to apply what we've learned.

What's your teaching style?
My teaching style is passionate and student-centered. I encourage active participation and critical thinking through discussions and activities.

How much will learners get to interact with you?
As this is an asynchronous class, I will be available to answer specific questions via OutSchool's messaging service. Expect a an answer to any message within one or two business days.
