This class will be an interactive theatre workshop that includes the following: 1) An ice breaker question allowing every student the opportunity to practice introducing themselves in a voice loud enough for everyone to hear. 2) A physical and vocal warm up that teaches students to speak with confidence and engage their imaginations. 3) Theatre games and scene work that reinforce the use of our acting tools (Body, voice, mind). Week of: April 21st: Voice Acting | Building a character with your voice! April 28th: Improvisation | Acting without a script! May 5th: Creative Dramatics | Body, Voice, & Imagination! May 12th: Pantomime | Acting without words! May 19th: Reader's Theatre | Let's perform together! NO CLASS MAY 26th-JUNE 13TH June 16th: TBD *********************************************** Meet the Teacher! Hello families! I'm Mrs. Anderson, and I teach Theatre for Young Performers, Singing in Virtual Voice Class and Private Voice Lessons! I am a certified Theatre Educator with a BFA in Musical Theatre, and hold 14+ years of experience in the classroom with kids of all ages. I would love to help you meet your goals! My mission is to use what I do best (Teaching, directing, and performing), to do what I love most (Musical Theatre and theatre education!). I'm passionate about coaching young artists to accomplish what they didn't think possible, and leading kids to find their voice, their hidden talents, and self confidence! Let's get nerdy about our favorite movies and musicals, and have fun exploring together on my virtual stage.
