*****Introduction*****

With over 200 million lifetime game sales, 131 million monthly active users and $7.46 billion in total revenue, Minecraft has become one of the most successful, popular, and fastest-growing video games of all time. Join me as we learn about the origins, history and evolution of Minecraft from 2009-2022. 

During the lesson, we will explore Minecraft's history and impact on global culture including A) The inspiration for the creation of Minecraft, B) Minecraft's effects on classroom education, C) Minecraft's influence on the video game industry, D) How Minecraft is being used to help design sustainable buildings, parks and infrastructure, and much more. Students can look forward to learning many interesting facts, stories and trivia about Minecraft to share with their friends and family.

*****Class Format and Presentation*****

This class will include lecture, discussion and multimedia (i.e. audio, photographs, video clips). As students learn about new topics, they will have opportunities to participate in classroom discussions and answer critical thinking questions. There are also plenty of audio, photographs and video clips spaced throughout the lesson to support student learning and enjoyment. This lesson format is designed to encourage and benefit student creativity, logical thinking and social skills.

After the class, all students will receive the class notes on the same day. The class notes will allow students to review all the topics and information from the class presentation. In addition, students will receive a digital certificate of completion, multiple-choice quiz and bonus activity. I hope that students will enjoy these extra activities very much.
