The Penderwicks (book 1 ) by Jeanne Birdsall is the 1st book in the 5 book series. It includes topics of being a friend, sisters, adventures, crushes, soccer, loyalty, dogs, a bit of mischievousness, and much more! This book has 262 pages (18 chapters). We will cover about 2 chapters each class, which means we will meet 8 times. Before Week 1: Students will be expected to read chapters 1-2 before the 1st class. The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall is my all time favourite book! I have read the whole series and some of the books I have re-read a few times: therefore, I am the perfect person to do a book club for this book because I can share my love of this book and author with others.
