Why did all the large animals go extinct? Were there cavemen living during this time? How did people populate North and South American? When did people first arrive and what are the current theories of the peopling of the continents? Join archaeologist Jeremy Freeman as we explore these questions and more on a journey...
In this class students will learn about the geological events related to the Ice Age, the Megafauna that roamed the earth over 10,000 years ago, and the archaeological evidence of Ice Age people.
I am a professional archaeologist for over 20 years that has worked at sites throughout the United States and the world. I am currently the tribal archaeologist for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. I also teach archaeology/anthropology classes at Sitting Bull College and am a historic interpretive guide at On-A-Slant Mandan Indian Village at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in Mandan, North Dakota. I have been engaged in teaching youth about the science of archaeology since AD 2000.
