This is a weekly ongoing class that covers the essentials to writing a good summary. Students will learn the process to writing a summary. Each week, there will be a short and engaging story read aloud by the teacher that students will summarize. The students will write their summary as the teacher will guide and monitor the students to ensure they are creating a summary that contains the necessary elements of summarizing. After completing a summary, the teacher will then lead the class in...

I have 15 years of teaching in an elementary classroom, and I have used and seen great progress through teaching this exact lesson.
Please have your child attend class with blank paper, writing utensils, and either crayons or markers.
