If you are looking for a class that will help your learner gain confidence as they write about texts while providing them with a firm writing foundation, then this course is for you! The Writing Revolution is a comprehensive writing program that uses the Hochman method to teach learners how to write about the texts that they read. Sentences are the building blocks of writing. Once learners know how to create varied and robust sentences, they can write about anything. This course starts...
Students will be able to identify and correct fragments in their writing. Students will be able to write simple, compound, and complex sentences with proper punctuation. Students will be able to use appositives in their writing. Students will be able to write summaries of passages that they read. Students will be able to write single paragraph responses to texts. Students will be able to write multi-paragraph essays. Students will improve their reading comprehension and grow in their ability to produce written responses to the texts that they read.
All materials will be provided through the Outschool classroom.
