In this class, students will get an overview of all the things that make music work. These include melody, the musical alphabet, keys, harmony (chords and how they function), rhythm, meter, and aural skills (ear-training). These fundamentals will assist greatly in learning how to compose great music! Instructor facilitates the implementation of course concepts into performance and emphasizes the importance of developing systematic approaches to practice. Teaching style is open and interactive, with an emphasis on group discussion and practical methods of concept implementation and maintenance.

Also has a slow down function that keeps the key of the song the same while slowing it down to practice with or learn by ear Apps/Programs Perfect Ear Just Drones (great for playing/singing scales and melodies against, and intonation for string players and singers) GuitarTuna (tuner, chord library for guitar, bass, uke , also has a metronome built in) DrumGenius (drum loops to practice with) Metronomics (great metronome) For transcribing (learning by ear) - Transcribe, Amazing Slow Downer, Replayer, Audacity Digital Audio Workstations (for recording and writing music) - Ableton intro/trial, GarageBand

I have a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Performance (Guitar) and years of experience teaching private and group lessons. I've also taught many lecture-style classes on music theory, ear training, jazz theory/improv, and more. I have run ensemble classes as well, which includes helping each musician improve not only their playing, but their conception and understanding of music.
I also have extensive experience performing music on both guitar and bass. I have played a great variety of genres in a variety of venues. Everything from concert halls, stadiums, smaller music venues/clubs, restaurants and private events. I have played in pit orchestras for musicals, original ensembles, my own music, and backed up artist from America's Got Talent (Linkin' Bridge), with whom I've opened up for the likes of The Backstreet Boys, The Commodores, Frankie Beverly and Maze, and more. 리뷰
