수업 소개
In this course, I will read aloud the text, "The Book Hog". Before the reading, we will share our favorite books with the class. We will discuss why they are our favorites. Each child will have a chance to share their favorite book with the class. The book will be shared through screen share and then a google slide will be used to display sight words. During the reading, the students will be told to look out for sight words. After the reading, we will talk about the sight words we heard. We will also have a discussion about why we need to talk about sight words. This discussion will be connected to the story because the Hog loved books but had to learn how to read them. The students will each be assigned a sight word that they will write down. They can use the slide that will be up to copy the spelling. We will practice saying the word and identifying them from each student. I will then read the story again, but the students will be the one reading their sight word when it comes up in the story. Students do not need to know their sight words ahead of time, this is to practice their sight word recognition. Recognizing sight words helps students with their reading fluency.
