Are you looking for a unique gift to make for Mother's Day? In this class, students will make a special tea cup card to give to their mother. Then, they will learn about the acrostic style of poetry and make a personal poem for inside the card. The tea cup card craft will involve step by step instructions but will also allow students to use their own unique ideas to bring their vision to life. Students will need a pencil, a glue stick, markers, scissors, a tea bag, coloured paper, blank white paper, and a small paper plate. Optionally, they can also bring a variety of collage items such as doilies, lace, and sequins. If you do not have any of these materials, they can be found at a local Dollar Store.
