아날로그 시계로 시간 알려주기

In this class, students will learn how to read an analog clock correctly. I will teach my students what each hand is called, how to tell what the hour is, how to count by 5s to figure out the minute, and much more. We will sing songs, play games, and have a lot of hands-on fun while learning this concept. My teaching style is very hands-on. In my opinion, students who work with manipulatives are able to grasp the skills a little faster. I will be using slides and video clips to guide the discussion along. The concepts taught in class are the exact concepts I used with my own students when I started the telling time unit. Telling time on an analog clock is an important skill for several reasons: it helps develop math skills, it can improve a child's cognitive abilities, it will enhance independence, and it will develop a sense of responsibility. In today's digital age, analog clocks may seem outdated, but they remain an essential tool for learning and development. Teaching children to tell time on an analog clock is an investment in their future that can have lasting benefits. I look forwards to teaching and seeing you soon! 

The class breakdown is below.

Week 1: On the first day of class, students will learn a telling-time song as well as practice counting by 5s. Students will learn the name of the hands on the clock. In the second class, students will practice what they learned in the first class. They will also learn how to read the hour hand and determine what the hour is at any given time of the day.
Week 2: In the third class, students will work together to figure out a given time. In our final class, students will show what they have learned and work on a small craft project to be able to continue to practice their new skills.
