Students will learn the "Elevator Pitch" concept and structure;
Students will learn how to gather information about themselves to include in their personal pitch;
Students will learn how to properly deliver their elevator pitch and will do so during the second class session.
Students will learn how to give and accept constructive criticism from peers and the instructor.

Mrs. Welch-Moore is a certified Professional Etiquette Trainer/Coach, and a Senior Training Instructor for a Federal Government Agency with an emphasis in leadership development.

The instructor has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Fairmont State University and a Masters of Arts in Corporate Communication from West Virginia University.  She has served as a Training Instructor for 13 years, and has been an adjunct faculty member for Fairmont State University for three semesters.

The students will receive an assignment after the first session to prepare a three minute elevator pitch.  They will each present their elevator pitch to their peer learners and instructor during the second session.

After the second session, each learner will receive individualized feedback from the instructor on how they can strengthen their elevator pitches for future educational, networking, or professional use.
