Students will learn effective, strong strategies to overcome the fear and "cluttered mess" public speaking sometimes creates. Knowing tactics about brainstorming to create an organized, effective presentation or speech, audience, posture/body language, voice projection, and self-confidence will encourage students and teach critical skills needed to become a stronger speaker.

Typically the "homework" for this course is light to moderate, perhaps requiring bringing to class a short rehearsed speech to share or a topic/object the student will practice speaking about informally. Watching impactful speeches online (age dependent, perhaps awards speeches or commencement addresses, famous historical orations, etc) will occasionally be required. The time we have IN class is often enough to see dramatic improvement.
