This One-On-One fiddle class proves to be so fun!  Did you know that a violin and a fiddle are the same instrument?  There are a few adjustments that true fiddle players make to their bridge but mostly, fiddling is a style of music that is played on a violin. Whether or not you know how to play the violin or not, we will figure out what you know and learn all about fiddling!  This is a high energy, interactive class that can start at whatever level your child is at and teaches to the learning style and pushes their potential in a fun and innovative way.  

For those who already know something about violin playing, we will begin learning fiddle tunes right away.  We will learn American fiddle tunes, folk songs, some Irish and Scottish fiddle songs, and variety of styles of fiddle music.  We will cover jigs, reels, waltzes,  hornpipes, traditional and more.  We will also learn how to add ornamentation to your music such as slides, double stops, grace notes, bowing styles and more.  

For the absolute beginner, we will learn everything from the very beginning such as how to hold your fiddle and bow, what the parts are, how to put your fingers on your fiddle and make a clear bow stroke sound.  There is so much to learn and we will start right away learning how to play your violin fiddle style!  We have a lot of fun with note reading, rhythm and ear training.  Ye Haw!
