This course is designed to help young musicians learn how to read music with a relaxed approach, play melodies on the guitar and begin playing simple chords. Students will need to purchase a guitar book for this class. Each week students will learn and review music terms and symbols that will help them become more fluent with reading music. I have been teaching guitar since I was in high school. I have had almost 2 decades of experience working in the elementary classroom and really try to connect with students to help them understand and enjoy the language of music.
