If your student is a reluctant or unenthusiastic reader who likes to procrastinate their summer reading until the end of the summer, these sessions are for them! Each week I will assign them a section of reading; the amount of reading will be based on the text, the level of reader, and the amount of time we have to complete the book. We will start off slow that I can assess what is feasible for a week! 
Each time we meet we will discuss the plot of the book, keep a list of characters, talk about vocabulary words that are new, and answer any questions that the student may have about what is going on in the book. 

Supplies: 
Students will need a copy of their book that they can either take notes in, or keep post-it notes in- its advisable that they purchase the book instead of using a library copy. I will need to know the text before our first meeting so that I can be prepared with my own copy of the test.
