APPROACH.
My approach to teaching maths is keeping the material fun and interactive. I don’t like to lecture - instead preferring to engage the students and make them invested in the material. 

SUPPLIES. 
I have digital copies of the Algebra 1 Textbook, Worksheets, Tests and Answer Guide, so I am prepared to start at any point in the book, and guide your learner the rest of the way! Just bring your copy of the book, pencil, and paper to class! 

EXPERIENCE. 
I have taught maths for over a decade, and am a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. I also have two decades of experience in the homeschool / home educated community. 

SAXON MATHS ALGEBRA 1.
Topics covered include signed numbers, exponents and roots; absolute value; equations and inequalities; scientific notations; unit conversions; polynomials; graphs; factoring; quadratic equations; direct and inverse variations; exponential growth; statistics; and probability.

Algebra 1 is recommended for Year 10 students, or highly motivated Year 9 students. The student should be sufficiently grounded in pre-algebra.
