Plot Purpose: Students will become familiar with plot structure and the idea that every story has a problem and a solution. Students will look more in depth at previous books that have been read and use Pout Pout Fish by Deborah Diseen to look at the different parts of a story such as: Conflict, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action and Resolution. Students will brainstorm problems that their character could have. Homework: Students will create a rough draft....

Students will be able to add detail to stories to increase quality of story. Students will be able to practice writing skills such as grammar and spelling. Students will grow confidence in writing abilities.
I have a Bachelor's in Creative Writing and a Master's in Elementary Education.

It is recommended, though not required that students get a copy of the following books: Trombone Shorty by Troy Collier Thunder Cake by Patricia Polocco Pigs by Robert Munsch Pout Pout Fish by Deborah Diseen These books will be shared over YouTube video so students will have access to them.
