Summer Boot Camp is an IEW Writing class. This class will meet for 4 weeks twice a week. This class will use the IEW writing program. The IEW program assist students with incorporating stylistic techniques to their writing. In this small group session the student will be presented with writing assignments which will allow them to practice various IEW stylistic techniques. This class will cover unit 1-2 Outlines & Writing from Notes and unit 3 Story Sequence Model for retelling narrative...
The student will be provided the opportunity to write multiple stories, learn IEW stylistic techniques and apply them to their stories.

The student will be required to create an outline from a story, retell the story from the outline, write a rough draft, and complete a final typed paper of the story. Multiple stories will be read, outlined, and rewritten with stylistic techniques. The amount of time spent writing and rewriting a story will depend on the student.
