토요일 학습: 1:1 튜터 세션

Please send me a message with the subjects/topics ( 3 subjects/ topics maximum to fit in our 1 hour class) that your child needs help with. Please select 3 from the following list of subjects/topics I teach/tutor: Math, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies.

Some Examples of Various subjects/ topics I have tutored are as follows:
Grade 3: 
1. Math: Multiplication
2. Literacy: Spelling
3. Science: Solar System
Grade 4:
1. Social Studies: United States Geography 
2. Literacy: Reading Comprehension
3. Math: Division
Grade 5:
1. Math: Fractions / Decimals
2. Literacy: Making Inferences
3. Science: Living Things / Ecosystems 

Please note: I will help your child grow in the subjects/topics that you have identified by meeting them where they are. For example, if a child is struggling with division because they don't know their math facts. I will work with your child to secure those math facts so they can continue to progress in their math skills.

We begin the lesson by practice questions and we have 2 or 3 breaks built in the session for watching a fun academic  video related to the main topics of the day for the tutoring session to encourage academic discussion. This will give your child a brain break that helps them to review information in a different way.

We will practice various questions on the specific topic(s) identified.
Suggested strategies to help with retaining and applying learning are shared and practiced. 
During the lesson, I will share suggested free online games to help your child to practice these skills. 

I incorporate Kahoot, IXL, Open ended questions, multiple choice questions, worksheets, reading passages, along with various videos from companies like BrainPOP, Hop Scotch, Numberock and Scratch Garden to practice academic skills. 

By request, I can send your scholar extra academic practice in the form of worksheets and games to practice outside of tutor sessions. I will also gladly send a progress report to you after a minimum of 3 sessions by request.  Please note as skills are mastered, we can always create new goals.


I will use games, worksheets, and other online resources such as learning videos and online tools to help my students to grow in various skills. I am a certified elementary teacher with 10+years of experience. I will meet your child where they are and help them build their skills in math and literacy. I will tutor your child at the elementary level (K-5) for math, literacy, science or social studies. We will work on the 3 subjects/ topics (skills) that you identified  to help your scholar to grow in the skills you requested.
