If the eyes are the window to the soul, we need to find a way to express what we see through our eyes. This is where writing comes in. Writing is a form of expression that unlocks ideas, thoughts and emotions. Without the ability to express how we feel, what we see, or what we want and need, we are trapped. 

This 4 days writing camp will help students create paragraphs that Catch, Keep, and leave a reader wanting More. As students learn to  create topic sentences, use description in the body of their paragraphs, and uniquely conclude their pieces, they unlock a whole new world of keeping their readers entertained. By asking questions, and engaging students though different activities through breakout rooms and large group discussion, students will harness the power of writing. 

Each day we will focus on a special component of their writing. The day will begin with an image, song, or general observation they will be asked to put down on paper. By commencing with a writing piece, they have a foundation that will proceed to be strengthened throughout the class period. 

General Daily Breakdown:
1. Enter the class and introduce/chat about how the day has been.
2. 10 minute writing piece
3. 5 minute focus lesson
4. 4 ways to say-Application
5. Review and wrap up
