In this class students will learn how to draw and compose a still life setting. The class will begin with an introduction of myself and fellow students and inquire the artistic goals of each student. We will draw objects using highlight, mid-tone, core shadow, reflected light, proportion, and various other techniques. Students will develop their drawing skills pertaining to texture and lighting. They will have a better understanding of value, shapes, and composing finished ideas.
Charcoal or graphite pencils, blending tool(Q-tip, blending stub, napkin, paint brush), sketch paper, kneaded eraser or plain eraser, ruler. A printed or digital copy of the still image we will drawing ( I will attach the image to the class discussion page)
