Week of February 5th: Skittle Art (dissolving)
bag of SKITTLES, hot water (microwaved or from a tea kettle) 
a plate with a lip around the edge so that water can be poured without spilling. 
Week of February 19th: Disappearing Reflection (light)
Supplies:
Glass (see through)
water
2 pieces white paper
marker
piece of aluminum foil 
Week of March 4th: Invisible Ink (oxidation)
2 pieces white printer paper
1 tablespoon lemon juice - in small bowl
1 tablespoon baking soda/1 tablespoon water - in small bowl
2 tablespoons milk in small bowl
2-5 cotton swabs
heat source (candle with adult supervision or hair dryer)
Week of March 18th: Homemade Lava Lamp (Density)
Empty water bottle
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 colors food coloring
alka seltzer tablets
Week of April 1st: Walking Rainbow (capillary action)
6 wide-mouth glasses or jars.
Paper towels (use the kind where you can select a size)
Food dye or liquid water colors (red, yellow, and blue)
Week of April 22nd: Blow up a balloon with baking soda/vinegar (chemical reaction)
Empty water bottle with small opening on top
Balloon.
Baking Soda.
Vinegar.
Small funnel.
Teaspoon.
Small measuring cup.

Kahoot

Students may need parental supervision for our science experiments each week.
We will use a Kahoot game each week to review. Students can use the kahoot app downloaded to a phone or tablet or just go to kahoot.it in a web browser with a parents help to play the game. Students will always have the option of playing on a team with the teacher instead of signing into the game.
