Students will begin their phonological journey and develop their skills to begin blending sounds and identifying their written form. 

I have been teaching phonics under different schemes such as Jolly Phonics, Read Write Inc and Letters and Sounds for the past 6 years in different schools in the UK, as well as a one on one (face to face and online) tutor. During my 15 years of experience as a teacher, I have worked with children for whom English is not their first language as well as with children diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia.

Optional homework will be posted at the beginning of the week for each lesson. Children can choose to do it digitally or print it and do it on a sheet of paper. 

Also, encourage your child to look for and identify our sounds and letters in their day to day activities.  For example: if children go out to play or go to a shop, they can try to read different signs looking for the sound practised that day; or if they stay home, they can try to look at their own storybooks and find the sounds.
