Welcome to Squishmallows Sentence Surgery! 🏥✏️

In this fun one-on-one class, learners become Grammar Surgeons, using their “tools” to diagnose and treat grammar issues in their Squishmallow patients! Each session is learner-paced, meaning we’ll focus on the specific grammar skills your learner needs most.

🩺 How It Works:

Each session begins with an introduction to the grammar rule of the day, tailored to the learner’s needs.

Learners will assist Miss Sammi in fixing sentence ailments—like Cam the Cat’s run-on sentence problem or Fifi the Fox’s noun confusion.

Using their grammar “tools” (nouns, verbs, adjectives, punctuation, etc.), learners will perform “surgery” to edit and improve sentences in need of care.

📚 Possible Grammar Focus Areas:

✨ Capitalization & punctuation – Fix missing periods, commas, and capital letters.
📝 Sentence structure – Identify and correct run-on sentences & fragments.
🔄 Subject-verb agreement – Ensure sentences sound correct. (She runs vs. She run)
🤔 Tricky homophones – Master your/you’re, their/they’re/there, and more!
🗣 Quotation marks & dialogue – Learn how to write speech correctly.
✏️ Editing & proofreading – Strengthen skills through hands-on sentence corrections.
