Class Experience

This interactive summer course is designed to boost creative writing skills, improve communication and confidence, and help students make new friends through fun, performance-based activities. Blending storytelling, improv, music, and comedy, this class encourages students to find their voice, express themselves, and build social connections in an engaging and supportive environment.
	

What Topics Will Be Covered?

Each week, we will focus on different aspects of creative expression, including:
	•	Week 1/July 21st-25th:Storytelling & Public Speaking Basics – Confidence-building games and writing exercises.

	•	Week 2:July 28th to August 1st: Improv & Comedy – Quick thinking, joke writing, and character-building.

	•	Week 3:August 4th-8th: Lip Sync Performance – Expressing emotion and storytelling through music.

	•	Week 4: August 11th-15th: Musical Remix Challenge – Rewriting lyrics to create new stories.

	•	Week 5:August 18th-22nd  Performance Prep – Polishing work, rehearsing, and confidence 
coaching.

	•	Week 6: August 25th-29th: The Grand Showcase! – Sharing performances in a fun, celebratory class.


How Is the Class Structured?

Each class will follow a structured but highly interactive format:
	1.	Warm-Up Activity – Icebreakers, confidence-building games, or quick writing prompts.
	2.	Lesson & Discussion – Covering new writing, improv, or performance concepts.
	3.	Group Activity – Small breakout room sessions for collaboration.
	4.	Presentation & Feedback – Students share work and receive constructive feedback.
	5.	Wrap-Up & Reflection – Encouraging discussion on progress and takeaways.
