수업 소개
This will be an active class. Every lesson students will need an efficient amount of floor space to stretch with the class. With a focus on leg flexibility we will go through a variation of active and passive stretches. Each class will finish with a hold in our best splits. As we stretch, we will talk about where we might feel the stretch and why. We will also talk a little bit about the anatomy of our muscles. Learners will not only improve flexibility but also their knowledge of their own body. Learners will also receive a digital form of some stretches and reminders from this lesson to take away! Learners do not need to have great flexibility to start this class, just a positive attitude toward learning the splits! Complete beginners are accepted and there will be many modifications available!

This class is appropriate for young learners. A soft surface is recommended as we will be using the floor at times, as well as an open space to reduce risk of injury. If a student is tired they are always welcome to take a break. I will be watching and correcting mistakes as well as demonstrating safe execution of exercises before attempting. Proper footwear should be worn or bare-feet to reduce any slipping. Students are encourage to have a water bottle nearby. We will warm up our muscles at the beginning of class with some movements. Injuries can occur if not properly supervised.
