⭐️Each week we will study a new artist, their style and their work. The teacher will present to the class while asking questions so students can think critically and provide their opinions. Classes will not build on each other so students can join this ongoing class at any time with no prerequisites. We will discuss the artist, style, important & interesting parts of the select work and techniques used, among other things. The teacher will show the works of art through pictures, present...

Students will improve Spanish fluency while cultivating an appreciation for this language and for art. Students will better understand how to analyze and critique a work of art. Students will learn art related vocabulary and concepts in Spanish (including but not limited to; techniques, elements of art, principles of art, art movements/time periods, art mediums, etc.).
Maestra Zia is an artist, a native Spanish speaker, has a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from the University of Puerto Rico and has taught art with the Department of Education on the island.
