⭐ This class might be a good fit for your learner if: -they already have a good grasp on Spanish vocabulary -they can read and write in Spanish -they understand verb conjugation and want to practice using it -they can and are willing to repeat phrases and carry out actions *If the above does not describe your learner then please feel free to reach out to me so I can recommend a class that might be more appropriate for them. What will be taught? This class will focus on: -listening skills while in immersion -fluency when speaking -sentence structure -vocabulary related to places/things in our home -verb conjugations -parts of speech What topics will you cover? Topics will rotate between the follwing areas of the home and may include others if the students decide to explore additional places that week. Meeting #1 will be used to agree on what part of the home Meeting #2 will be held in and for planning additional details. Week #1 Sept. 3-9 - Student choice from the following list: Living Room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom, Laundry, Outdoors Week #2 Sept. 10-16 - Student choice from the following list: Living Room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom, Laundry, Outdoors Week #3 Sept. 17-23 - Student choice from the following list: Living Room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom, Laundry, Outdoors Week #4 Sept. 24-30 - Student choice from the following list: Living Room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom, Laundry, Outdoors Week #5 Oct. 1-7 - Student choice from the following list: Living Room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom, Laundry, Outdoors How is your class structured? Meeting #1: We will use this time to plan for our second meeting. Learners will decide on topics and we will brain storm together about what will be needed for the next meeting of the week. Meeting #2: We will be in the part of the house that was agreed upon in meeting #1. We talk and carry out everyday activities together related to that area of the home. This will allow us to explore vocabulary and use different parts of speech in context. How will you teach? Maestra Zia will lead planning discussions on meeting #1 and make sure all variables are covered. She will explain, narrate/model, discuss/dialogue activities during meeting #2 and then allow the students to carry them out themselves. What's your teaching style? Maestra Zia is a happy teacher who prides herself in creating positive environments where student feel comfortable participating. How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? Class activities will be planned and carried out as a group, learners will have opportuities to give input, lead and to ask questions/make comments as we carry out everyday household to-dos. Any required experience or knowledge learners need? ⭐ This is not a beginners class.

💗 A little about me:
Other than art and landscape photography, I have a passion for nutrition, translation and simultaneous interpretation, serving others through child/senior care, reading, crafting, hospitality and Christian ministry/theology.
My calm, kind and friendly personality is sure to appeal to a variety of students. I have been described as " a natural encourager" and work hard at creating a positive learning environment in order to promote student participation. I promise to always treat your learner with the respect and love they deserve.

📚 Where I have taught:
I have been teaching on Outschool for 5 years but have also had the opportunity to work in person with a wide range of ages from toddlers to highschool students and even adults pursuing their GED. I have also had the privilege to own a daycare center/preschool academy. This has formed a special place in my heart for early childhood education. I have hosted a variety of workshops and classes in Spanish for couples, families and leaders at church as well. Currently, I homeschool my own child and I run two private book clubs; one for adult women and one for bilingual teens. I also host private virtual crafting parties and volunteer my time for digital design with a non-profit.리뷰
