*** During the Summer Months of July and August 2022, ALL One-time classes will be temporarily reduced *** ***Please note that there is no need to have any prior knowledge of Spanish to take this class*** ***If you don’t see a displayed time that works for you or see any upcoming classes posted, you are welcome to contact me or based on my availability please feel free to request one and a section will automatically be created!*** Spanish for Kiddos - Let's Talk About Deportes/Sports (Beginner Edition) What’s your child’s favorite sport, to watch, play or talk about? This class, which is a continuation in my series: “Spanish for Kiddos”, is designed to help your child learn how to talk about sports in Spanish. The goal of this class to is have a fun, interactive classroom environment where children will not only talk about their favorite sport, they will learn variety of sports in Spanish. With my personalized help and guidance, each student will have the ability to say the names of popular sports, learn a variety of words, spell their names in Spanish and use short sentences to express themselves collectively and independently. Also, with the utilization of activities, games, pictures, visual aids, props and talk time these will all facilitate your child having fun while at the same time learning a foreign language. In my series called “Spanish for kiddos” your child, through a variety of topics, will join me on the wonderful journey of learning Spanish. ¡Vámonos! (Let’s go!) Below are just a sample of some of the things that will covered in the lesson. Sample Sport Wordlist: Soccer, Football, Baseball, Basketball etc. Sample Classroom Questions/Sentences: What's your favourite sport? My favourite sport is ______ I like to play ______ I like sports! Games/Activities = Name that sport with True or False During class your child will have lots of opportunities to participate and at the same time listen respectfully to others.

Students in this class will have the ability to audibly express, collectively and independently, in Spanish the name of a variety of sports and talk about which one is their favorite using short sentences.

Parents are encouraged (not required) to be present during the "review" portion of the class for their child to demonstrate the vocabulary they just learnt in class in Spanish.

¡Hola! Hello! My name is Le Schawn Ward from Canada, welcome parents and learners to my Outschool profile/bio.
Here on Outschool we are encouraged to teach what we are passionate about, not only IS Spanish one of my passions but also teaching and helping others is too.
Regardless of the subject, learning level or ability, my motto is: If you’re not having fun then you’re not learning! That is what you can expect for your child in ALL my classes, they will enjoy themselves while learning.
Helping others has always been something that brings me a lot of inner joy, so I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity on Outschool to combine my love for Spanish and with helping others to learn and to speak one of the most spoken and popular languages in the world!
Now let’s get down to the ‘nitty-gritty’. I have my bachelor's degree in Education, minoring in Language Education, hold both a TEFL and TESOL certification, have a background in theatre arts, TV and commercials and I am completely fluent speaking and writing Spanish. I also have extensive public speaking skills, having done so in front of crowds of over 3,000+ people!
Since 2002, I have been teaching children, youth and adults alike. In an online setting since 2018 I have been teaching children from ages 3-16 and to date have completed over 7,500 online classes totaling over 18,500 students! In my volunteer educational work, I have been teaching people of all different ages in Spanish since 2007.
Now that the ‘nitty-gritty is out of the way, I can’t wait to meet your child/children and let the fun begin!
