This class is a movie discussion in Spanish. You will need to see the movie and answer some questions in Spanish before class. In the live class everyone is going to have the opportunity to share their answers with the other students.

Guided by an experienced teacher, students will explore themes, characters, and cultural contexts while practicing their Spanish in a fun and engaging way.

In each session, we'll dive into a different movie, analyzing dialogues, expressions, and cultural nuances. Students will enhance their listening comprehension, expand their vocabulary, and gain a deeper understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures. Plus, lively discussions and activities will provide plenty of opportunities for speaking practice and interaction with peers.

This class is in Spanish (80% Spanish and 20% English) . Each week we are going to be discussing a different movie. I recommend watch the movie in Spanish with subtitles in English to begin and then both in Spanish.

Before class at home:

1. Watch the movie.
2. Answer the questions in Spanish. 3. Be ready to discuss at class.
At class:
1. We are going to greet in different ways.
2. We are going to discuss the questions. Everyone is going to have the opportunity to share his/her thoughts on every question.
3. We are going to say bye in different ways.

Probably you are going to need to rent the movie. Most of the movies are in You Tube for $1.99, Netflix or Prime Amazon.

Learning Goal

The students are going to practice Spanish at class and this is going to help build confidence to talk. I'm going to moderate the conversation and answer any questions that they may have.

Homework

Before class at home: (Watch the movie and answer the questions could take 3-4 hours in total) 1. Watch the movie.
2. Answer the questions in Spanish. (If you are having a hard time and can use some help you can go to https://www.spanishdict.com to help you translate but try without it first).
3. Be ready to discuss it in class.
